Tasting Notes
Linear perspective is a drawing technique that gives the illusion of depth. In other words, it tricks the eye into believing that the picture in front of it is actually 3-dimensional, not 2-dimensional. Objects that are farther away from us appear smaller, so they draw them smaller to create that illusion of space and distance. Use of linear perspective, along with other elements of design, can convey a variety of messages and emotions.
This wine is made using two of the most textural grape varietals out there, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The co-fermentation of these two grapes creates a wine with unbridled body and flavor. The fruit hits your palate with a punch of deep plum and blackberry, followed by sage spice that coats your mouth. The tannins draw in slow and soft adding to the long finish to this big red.
Winemaker Notes
The Linear is a red wine blend made of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon grown at Sky's The Limit vineyard in the Happy Canyon AVA and 20% Syrah grown at Kaerskov vineyard in the Los Olivos District. The grapes were picked, crushed, and co-fermented together and then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
